Our Website
Our website is to enable the people of Bideford and visitors to see what the Pollyfield Community Centre is all about. The aim is for you to visit and join as a member or maybe just come along and join in the activities available at the centre. We have a wide range of regular activities as well as one off events. You don't have to pay to become a member! We run the Shamwickshire Bar, where you can come along with friends and have a drink and play pool, darts and crib or just meet the locals!

So why not visit us!

We are Volunteers
The Trustees of Pollyfield and the Directors of the Bar are all volunteers, we don't get paid for what we do. We want to serve our Community and try to get as many people as possible involved at the Centre. Our main aim is to make people feel at home when visiting us and to encourage local people to use our facilities and benefit from the services we provide.

Our Mission

Our Mission is  to benefit and support the whole Community of Bideford and visitors to the centre. The centre was opened in 1982 by the Mayor of Bideford at the time, Pam Paddon. The Centre is thriving to this day - and with your support and help the Centre will carry on into the future.   So, please feel free to visit and join in the activities that we have available.

We have a wide range of activities at the Centre, which includes ETW Youth Club on a Tuesday evening, and Bingo on a Thursday evening. We also have Darts, Pool and Skittle Teams, and Keep Fit.  In the summer we have Play Activities for youngsters. You can enjoy the Community atmosphere if you would like to come along. The hall can be hired for Birthday Parties, Weddings, Christenings, Discos and also Meetings. So, please come along and visit to find out more.
